Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County constructs new and rehabilitates existing housing throughout Franklin County to provide low-to-moderate income individuals and families with affordable housing options. Prospective Habitat Homeowner Partners are evaluated based upon three criteria, which are listed below.
- Need for housing
- Willingness to partner with Habitat
- Ability to pay an affordable mortgage
Critical Home Repair
The Critical Home Repair program provides repair services to homeowner-occupied housing within Franklin County. The program helps low-to-moderate income homeowners alleviate health and safety issues in and around their home. Eligible repairs include small roof repairs, handicap accessibility, window and door replacement, sidewalk and exterior stair repair, siding repair, electrical, plumbing and water supply and septic systems.
